Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the HazSight Android application (the "App") and the website at hazsight.ai (the "Site"), provided by Dromos Inc. ("Dromos", "we", "us"). By installing or using the App or Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use HazSight.

HazSight is a decision-support aid, not a substitute for professional emergency response. Your use of it is also governed by the Safety Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability, which is incorporated into these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract to use HazSight. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. License to use the App

HazSight — including the application source code, documentation, and website content — is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). See the License page. Subject to these Terms, you may install and use the App for its intended public-safety purpose.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to, and not to permit others to:

use HazSight for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
rely on HazSight as the sole basis for life-safety, evacuation, or emergency-response decisions, or as a replacement for official emergency services, qualified responders, or the official Emergency Response Guidebook;
approach, disturb, or interfere with a hazardous-materials scene in order to use the App;
misrepresent HazSight output, or use it to create false or misleading alerts or reports;
interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, Site, alert relay, or related systems;
use HazSight in any manner that could endanger any person or property.

We may suspend or limit access to networked features (such as the alert relay) to protect the service or comply with law.

4. No professional advice

HazSight provides automated, AI-generated information for situational awareness only. It does not provide professional, emergency, medical, legal, or safety advice, and no responder–civilian or professional relationship is created by your use of it.

5. Third-party components

HazSight incorporates third-party software and data, including the Google Gemma model (Apache 2.0) and the 2024 Emergency Response Guidebook (public domain — U.S. DOT PHMSA, Transport Canada, and Mexico's SICT). Your use of those components may be subject to their respective terms.

6. Intellectual property

"HazSight" and "Dromos", and the associated branding, are marks of Dromos Inc. Except for rights expressly granted under the applicable open licenses, all rights are reserved.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

HazSight is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Our liability is limited as set out in the Safety Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Dromos Inc. harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of HazSight or your violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using HazSight at any time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue HazSight, in whole or in part, at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for disputes shall be the state and federal courts located in Texas, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
